SIEMENS GAS TURBINE SGT-800

Siemens Gas Turbine SGT-800
Power output: ISO 47 MW(e) Designed for continuous, heavy-duty operation, the SGT-800 is the obvious choice where reliability, harsh environments and low life-cycle costs are key factors. In Power Generation applications the SGT-800 has a power output of 47 MW. It offers easy on-site maintenance and a wide fuel range capability - from liquid fuel to natural gas. Its powerful heat production capability in cogeneration installations makes it the ideal choice for the process industry.

FIELDS of APPLICATION:-

> Simple cycle power generation.
> Combined cycle power generation.
> Ideal for combined heat and power (CHP), because of its excellent exhaust heat data.

DESIGN CONCEPT:-
(SGT-800 for Power Generation: up to 47 MW)

The SGT-800 is a single shaft machine with fifteen compressor stages. The first three stages have variable geometry. To minimize leakage over the blade tips, abradable seals are applied to stages four to fifteen. The three stage turbine is built as one module for ease of maintenance and is bolted to the compressor shaft. Turbine stator flanges are air cooled to reduce running clearances and improve efficiency. Its overall design ensures easy service access to the combustor and burners. The cold end of the gas turbine is connected to the generator via speed reduction reducing turbine speed from 6,600 rpm down to 1,500/1,800 rpm. The machine has full Dry Low Emissions (DLE) capability, providing low NOx levels. It can operate on both gas and liquid fuels with on-line switchover between fuels.

POWER GENERATION PACKAGE:-

The SGT-800 is available as a skidmounted package with single-lift capacity of the main machinery skid. It is easily transported, installed and maintained at site. The package incorporates the gas turbine, gearbox, generator and all mechanical auxiliary systems are mounted on a single underbase. Turbine controls, generator control panel, motor control center for package motors and variable speed drive for starter motor are normally also package-mounted.

TECHNICAL DATA:-
(SGT-800 for Power Generation)

> Power Output: 47.00 MW(e)
> Fuel: Natural gas / liquid fuel / dual fuel and other fuels capability on request
> Frequency: 50/60 Hz
> Electrical efficiency: 37.5 %
> Heat rate: 9,597 kJ/kW-hr (9,096 Btu/kWh)
> Turbine speed: 6,608 rpm
> Compressor pressure ratio: 19:1
> Exhaust gas flow / temperature: 131.5 kg/s, 544°C (287 lb/s, 1,011 °F)
> NOx emission capability (with DLE, corrected to 15% O2 dry): ≤ 15 ppmV

BENEFITS:-
(SGT-800)
> Competitive life cycle costs: plant design with focus on investment cost, availability, cycle efficiency, emissions, operation flexibility and long service life.
> Designed according to international codes, standards and directives and with HSE compliance.
> Packaged by Original Equipment Manufacturer - engineering and manufacturing performed at one location.
> Emissions performance best in the 35-60 MW(e) class on dual fuel (dry) in the 50-100% load range.
> Efficiency: high in all cycles, saving fuel and reducing CO2 to atmosphere.
> Core engine with industrial design, single shaft (2 tilting pad bearings), cold end drive and 3rd generation DLE.
> Fuel changeover capability (gas to oil and oil to gas) in the load range.
> Load rejection capability with ample margin to trip speed.
> Flexible service concept for onsite maintenance - hot section "strip", modules or gas turbine replacement.
