Due to industrialization and huge household usage of electricity there is energy crises world wide. There is reduction of natural sources oil, water reservoirs, to make cheaper energy aerodynamic based Gas Turbines in combine & open cycle power plant are commonly used for electricity. Hydro power generation is also very cheep and dual benefit source of power generation. The aim of this forum is to share experience and awareness about modern techniques and up coming events in energy sector.

REPORTS ABOUT INSTALLATIONS:
> The completion of the SGT5-8000H 1st Fire in December 2007 and 1st Synchronization in March 2008 were successfully completed.
> The testing program will continue with additional runs through May, with the next regular outage planned for completion in July of this year. The validation Program will continue with a series of planned tests and inspections where results are documented, analyzed, and deviations corrected in a controlled process. Improvements in part design will be installed and the unit subsequently tested in a commercial configuration.
> Further testing will continue on and beyond the sales release, scheduled for August 2008. To validate the engine durability and reliability testing will continue until June 2009.

This unit has similar construction features as that of the W501/701 machines. It utilizes a can-annular combustor and uses a blade rings on the turbine
